Vikings, Indiana Indians, Knoch Knights, Laurel Highlands Mustangs,
Mars Planets, Montour Spartans, Moon Tigers, New Castle Hurricanes,
Ringgold Rams, Southmoreland Scotties, Thomas Jefferson Jaguars,
Trinity Hillers, Uniontown Red Raiders, West Allegheny Indians, West
Mifflin Titans, and the Yough Cougars.
Tough call for the referees
The 2008-2009 alignment of WPIAL Class AAA football included 27 teams
from Western Pennsylvania high schools. Class AAA is the second division
in a four division structure, which also includes Quad A, Class
AA and Class A, according to school enrollment figures. Division
alignments for other sports, such as basketball, gymnastics and
soccer, may include a different number of sports teams. High schools
included here were part of this particular WPIAL football division
in 2008-2009. |
