6th Super Bowl ring a quarter-pounder
PITTSBURGH - The World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers received
their Super Bowl rings this week. Weighing in at 3.7 ounces, each
ring weighs nearly a quarter of a pound!
No wonder, since each
14-karat gold Super Bowl XLIII ring contains 63 diamonds, which
total 3.61 carats.
After the first four
Super Bowl wins in the 70's, the chant was 'one for the thumb.' Then
it was going for a 'six pack.' Now it might be something like
'seven is heaven' or 'lucky ring to 7.' Choose your own new chant,
football season is about to begin, and the Steelers look strong.
