NBC
BLACKOUT
on the
Mellon Arena big screen
...BUT WHY?
PITTSBURGH - June 9, 2009
As the final two games
of the Stanley Cup playoffs arrive, NBC has decided to blackout
their broadcasts from the outdoor big screen at Mellon Arena.
This big screen has
been up during the Penguins' Stanley Cup playoff runs during the
last two seasons. It allows fans who don't have tickets to gather
outside and cheer the Pens on to victory.
NBC should quickly
reconsider this decision, because it makes them look real bad! The
sports gurus at NBC have until game time tonight to change their
minds.
Wouldn't the big
screen broadcast help NBC advertisers reach a larger audience?
