Passion Play
If you were a football fan
you had to be a Favre Fan
Brett Favre had a
tenacity that rivaled 'Iron Mike' Webster of the Steelers, starting 275 consecutive games
for the Packers. You didn't have to live in Wisconsin or Mississippi
to love watching Brett play the game. He made a Cheesehead out of
this Steeler fan.
"We have all been
blessed to see this man play this game"
Ted Thompson
Packers General Manager
"I think it's the little
boy in all of us. I think he plays the game like you
would if you were in a backyard and you were wearing
Wrangler jeans. He loves to play the game. He loves the
competition." |

We'd like to claim he came from Quarterback Country here
in Pittsburgh, but that's the only quarterback accolade he
missed. Brett had a passion for football that was contagious.
Something about the way he walked on the field or entered a
huddle.
Favre's statistics are legendary, but his demeanor and
originality is what made him so likeable. Most NFL players would have an
ego the size of a stadium if they came close to
Favre's stats, but his human side is what made him so touchable and
authentic.
He benefitted greatly from the close personal attention of a football
coach father --- most boys would relish even half
that equation. Brett credits his dad with the running skills
he displayed so well on a touchdown run in Super Bowl XXXI, helping
the Pack beat the Patriots in every way he could.
Thanks for sharing your passion Brett!
